Dr. Ferran Vallès from the Superconducting Materials and Large Scale Nanostructures (SUMAN) Group at ICMAB defended his PhD thesis entitled "Vortex pinning and creep in YBCO nanocomposite films grown by chemical solution deposition" on Tuesday, 7 May 2019. Ferran's supervisors were Teresa Puig and Anna Palau. Congratulations!

Dr. Alexander Stangl, former PhD researcher under the supervision of Prof. Teresa Puig and Dr. Anna Palau (Superconducting and Large Scale Nanostructures group at ICMAB) defended his PhD thesis entitled "Oxygen kinetics and charge doping for high critical current YBCO films" publicly on 20 March 2019 at the ICMAB-CSIC Auditorium. Dr.Sílvia Illa, former PhD researcher under the supervision of Dr. Jordi Faraudo (Theory and Simulation group at ICMAB) and Dr. Swapans K. Congratulations to Dr. Mahdi Chaari, new ICMAB graduate, who defended his PhD Thesis in Tunisia!

Dr. Mahdi Chaari defended his PhD Thesis on December 7, 2018, at the Université de Sfax (Tunisia), obtaining the highest mark Mention Très Honorable avec les félicitations du jury. His supervisor from the ICMAB-CSIC, Dr. Rosario Núñez, was very happy for him. The thesis was entitled "Synthesis and characterization of new carborane derivatives for photo-optical and medicinal applications"

Congratulations Dr. Xavier Palmer, new ICMAB graduate!

Dr. Xavier Palmer Paricio from the Superconducting Materials and Large Scale Nanostructures (SUMAN) group at ICMAB defended his PhD thesis last Tuesday, 13 November 2018. His thesis was about the synthesis of superconducting tapes and ceramic microfibers by the chemical solution depositon (CSD) method.
