Jordi Arbiol was awarded with the E-MRS 2014 - EU40 Materials Prize

This E-MRS award is given to recognize outstanding contributions to materials research by a scientist under 40.

The award is reserved to researchers showing exceptional promise as leaders in the materials science having performed the research for which this prize is awarded while working in Europe.

Jordi gave a presentation in front of a very large audience reviewing his contributions in the understanding of nanomaterials structures by using the most advanced electron microscopy techniques. He mostly focused on complex semiconductor non-planar nanostructures and the correlation between the structure and morphology at the atomic scale with their physical properties (e.g.: optical) at the nanoscale. Audience was truly amazed by the images and models showed by him and his level of expertise in the field.
